Now that we have our victories list, next is a dreams or future accomplishments list. All of our accomplishments start first with a dream. Some may be huge and elaborate. Some may be a quick thought of what we need to get done. Regardless of which it is or something in between all physical reality starts in our mind. Why not make it a grand visualization to help increase the quality of the life we live?
If you could do anything you wanted. If money wasn't an obstacle, you had unlimited resources, knew anyone you needed to know, had any ability you needed to have and all the time to make it happen, what would you do? Who would you spend time with? What cause would you take up? Would you spend more time on your relationships? Would you have a different career? Would you drive a different car? Would you travel? These types of questions will help you understand what you would truly enjoy doing.
“Nothing happens unless first we dream”
~ Carl Sandberg ~
Think it, ink it. Great leaders and goal setters think on paper. Take some time to write out all the things you would enjoy accomplishing. Answer the questions in the previous paragraph. Don’t worry about reality, this is a dreams list. Next week we will funnel it down to what’s realistic and attainable in the short term.
I have always been interested in the martial arts, but never had the opportunity to pursue any formal training. Shortly after my son began taking classes I decided to join in the fun! This was almost three years ago and training has me in the best shape of my life. It has been very beneficial for my overall well being and a great activity to spend time with my son. Sensei Groesbeck and staff are top notch instructors and provide a positive and fun environment in which to learn and train.
My daughter Jaelyn has been training in martial arts close to five years. She is in great shape, more disciplined and respectful due to the Manlius dojo and staff. Great job on the new website.
My 12 year old daughter and 11 year old son are 1st degree black belts training for their 2nd Degrees. I am 43 years old, in the best shape of my life and ready to test for my 1st degree Black Belt. Impact Martial Arts has changed the life of my children and I for the better in a dramatic way! Modesty, Courtesy, Integrity, Self Control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit! These are the creeds instilled in the students who study at the Team Manlius dojo of Impact Martial Arts. The entire teaching staff at the Team Manlius dojo: Sensei Groesbeck, Sensei Button, Deshi Mehmedovic and Mr. McDonald are all AWESOME!! They are all very engaging, professional and inspiring. Not only do they teach marital arts and physical fitness but the curriculum also contains character education and anti-bullying strategies. The environment at the dojo is always positive, fun and inspiriting. Believe me it is a place you will want to be and your kids to be!!!
